This Payne Cemetery is located in Pendleton County, KY. on private property on Highway 159.  The homeowners graciouslyallowed us to photograph these stones. Photos taken by Suzan Taylor & Bev Graver.

William Gosney was born in Ohio on 9 April 1788 and died 19 June 1848 in Pendleton County, KY.  William married "Polly" Elsbary (also spelled Ellsbury and Ellsberry) on 30 May 1816 in Clermont Co., KY.  William and Mary "Polly" had at least these children: John, Michael, Francis Marion, William, Mary Catherine and James.  Enoch Gosney and Agatha Gosney are also probably their children.  There my be others.  Research is ongoing.

George Payne (spelled here as "Paine") was a son of Judge H. Payne & Agatha (Gosney) Payne.  He died at the age of 2 years, 8 months and 24 days on 9 May 1851.

Judge H. Payne died 13 June 1836 - aged 36 years, 4 monhs and 27​ days

Jane (Hoskins) Gosney was born in England on 23 September 1816. She died on 22 June 1877 and was the wife of Enoch Gosney.

Mary Catherine (Gosney) Thomason was born in Pendleton County, KY. about 1840.  She married Mathew W. Thomasson in Pendleton County on 7 March 1861. The stone is too worn to read further.​

Mary "Polly" (Elsbary) Gosney was born 17 Feb 1800 in Ohio and died 28 Oct 1870 in Pendleton County.
