Mary "Polly" Payne was born in Virginia on 20 June 1795. She married Walter Fryer in Pendleton County, Kentucky on 26 October 1818. Her death occurred on 2 Aug 1871. She had been married earlier to a man with the surname of Sharp or Sharpe, possibly Richard. If anyone has proof of the marriage, we would appreciate learning of it. Walter and Mary had at least 8 children: Sarah,Eveline, Ellen, Miranda, Lucy,Alfred, Elvira and Missouri.




Lucy Fryer married Thomas C Norris 12 February 1857 in Pendleton County. Their known children were: Edward, Harvey G and Charles Sherman.
Eveline (Fryer) Norris footstone (I think.) She was the 2nd daughter of Walter and Mary. Her marriage to William Norris took place 5 September 1844 in Pendleton Co. They had at least these children: Robert A., George F., John W., James T., Henry B. and Charles Calvin.
